interesting Lecture

I have been so busy of late.

I went to a very interesting Lecture that WGSN hosted. It was based on retail and merchandising for in store and window displays. It was so informative. Especially focusing on today's recession and how things are going to change.








It sort of depresses me and excites me for some reason. I know that a lot of things are going to change. But I know that this is an opportunity to prove oneself and it will be a great chance for creativity for artists and designers to really show their stuff.

I am going to give a presentation based on my summary on what was presented at this lecture to the company I work for in the coming days. (very excited because I gained so much information from this lecture). Every little bit of information you learn is power even if it does not directly relate to you, it all affects us in one way or the other.

the more girly the better. So I went to M&J tonight to look at some trim. and oh my it was unbelievable how expensive this lace was.

and just to think this weekend I bought a huge loot of trim for only 17 dollars. Only thing the colors where orange and red..

after thanksgiving

After having been sick for thanksgiving and the day after I had a good weekend after all. :)
I refused to give into the "black friday" holiday sales. And went thrifting instead.

And oh boy did I find some amazing things.
I actually found a matching set of vintage flame le creuset. oh yes I did. Was it a miracle? I think so! they are so pretty that I can hardly beleive it!
You see I found the most amazing thirft shop in queens. And the people whp run this place are so super nice and have such amazing things that I know I have to limit my trips there because I have no self control.

I found some other neat things there too. And did I get a bargain. :)

so the holidays begin. And I have been seeing many beautiful things in my adventures.

I walked into Fishs Eddy yesterday. And what lovely stuff they have. I will never get tired of "retro kitchen" ware. So here is what I saw.

their window displays had a combination of those 50's oil paintings and their kitchen ware that they are known for.




but what blew me out of this world were these glove molds they had on display.



they had the adult and children molds. They were amazingly bizzare.
